Yabeinosaurus is a genus of lizard from the Early Cretaceous of northeastern China. It was originally only known from juveniles, causing scientists to believe that it was a small lizard with weak bones. However, after adult fossils were discovered, it was revealed to be a larger lizard with thicker bones. It is unclear where it fits into the lizard family tree, as it has been classified as being related to geckos or iguanas many times. In 2011, a fossil of this species was found with 15 embryos inside it, making it the oldest known lizard to give live birth.
