Tickles is the first named mammal in The Land Before Time film series. He is a Megazostrodon and was so named because he, in Ducky's words, had "tickly fuzzies all over him." He appears in The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists. He is very intelligent and very brave, but unable to speak except through high-pitched squeaks, which are translated via his body language. His mute but brave nature makes him very relatable to Spike. He is one of many dozens of Megazostrodon that came to the Land of Mists after heavy rainfall turned the area into an eerie marshland. Because the mammals were strange to the local dinosaurs, they were feared, and also would eat the dinosaurs' food. They were one of several reasons the dinosaurs left the area and met the gang and after the fight with Ichy and Dil he went home.
