"The Hermit of Black Rock" is the twenty-first episode of The Land Before Time. It originally aired on May 25, 2007.
Plot
When Cera crashes into a log, Guido appears, and he and Petrie go for a fly, but the wind picks up and they get blown to Black Rock in the Mysterious Beyond, where they meet a mysterious flyer, named Swooper, who is blind!

- Guido, who is still learning to fly, makes a return in this episode, with the same voice actor.
- First appearance of a blind character (though Dil is perhaps nearly blind), named Swooper.
- Chomper mentions that he and Ruby met Guido the last time he babysat Tricia.
- Guido refers to Chomper as "Chomper the friendly Sharptooth". This is a parody of Casper the Friendly Ghost.
- This is the second episode in which the kids are computer-generated in wide shots.
- Topps makes a cameo at the end of this episode.
- It is one of four episodes in the Adventuring in the Mysterious Beyond DVD.
- The two Spinosaurus below in the scene where Guido and Petrie help Swooper fly over the Mysterious Beyond are quite similar to the one Guido ran into before Petrie's flying test in The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers. It's a possibility that one of the Spinosaurus may indeed be the Sailback Sharptooth from the film, with his companion being his mate.
