Tarbosaurus is a genus of tyrannosaurid theropod dinosaur that flourished in Asia about 70 million years ago, at the end of the late Cretaceous Period. It was originally considered to be a species of Tyrannosaurus, but it was later discovered to be its own genus. Like Tyrannosaurus in North America, Tarbosaurus was the top predator of its environment, which consisted of the countries of Mongolia and China.

In The Land Before Time

A skeleton of Tarbosaurus briefly appears in The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure, where it is seen in a pit of water with several other skeletons.
