Pliosaurs are an aquatic type of reptile. Like their close relatives, plesiosaurs, they have four flipper. They don't possess long necks like some plesiosaurs do, but are more dolphin shaped instead. Pliosaur fossils have been found in Africa, Australia, China, Europe, North America and South America. Pliosaurs are probably most well known from their grotesque looking teeth. The Swimming Sharptooth seen in ( is one example of this group.
