Michael Clarke Duncan (b. December 10, 1957 - d. September 3, 2012) was the voice of Big Daddy.

Ironically, he also voices a T-rex named Stinktooth in Dinotopia: Quest for the Ruby Sunstone, another film with dinosaurs, along with Alec Medlock.

Micheal Clarke Duncan also played Murdoch in See Spot Run, Sam in Cats & Dogs, Tug in Brother Bear and it's sequal Brother Bear 2, Commander Vachir in Kung Fu Panda, to name a few.
