Flyer is the Land Before Time name for pterosaurs and other flying animals such as birds. The most seen flyer is Petrie and his mother. The adult flyers tend to be smaller then most adult dinosaurs. They are Twofooters.

Most Flyers are herbivores or omnivores but some are carnivores as seen by a Sharptooth Flyer that tried to feed Ducky to it's children in The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island.
