Pterano's herd was a group of dinosaurs that appear during a flashback in The Land Before Time VII: The Stone of Cold Fire. Besides Pterano himself, the herd was populated by individual Corythosaurus, Styracosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Maiasaura, Stegosaurus, Lambeosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Kentrosaurus and Ouranosaurus
History[]
After the Great Earthshake from The Land Before Time, a number of dinosaurs, including those that would later form the Circle Of Elders when they reached the Great Valley, decide to venture to the Valley together. Some dinosaurs, however, are coaxed by Pterano to follow him to the "Great Valley" instead.
But after some travelling, an earthshake occurrs, trapping the herd in a ravine, where all but Pterano are slaughtered by a trio of Sharpteeth (Deinonychus).
